# AppDesk > A native iOS and macOS client for App Store Connect and Apple Ads. Track sales, revenue, subscriptions, App Store chart rankings and campaign spend, manage customer reviews, and read on-device AI insights on every tab. AppDesk is a native iOS, iPadOS, and macOS application built with SwiftUI that connects directly to Apple's App Store Connect API and the Apple Ads API. It syncs sales data, subscription metrics, customer reviews and campaign spend to your device. All data processing — including AI review responses and AI insights — happens entirely on-device using Apple Intelligence. Your sales figures, revenue and review text never leave your device. ## Key Facts - Platform: iOS, iPadOS, and macOS (native SwiftUI, universal app). Requires iOS 26, iPadOS 26, or macOS 26 or later. - Price: Free tier available. Paid tiers are AppDesk Basic (one-time purchase) and AppDesk Pro (monthly or annual subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time lifetime purchase). App Rankings, Apple Ads reporting and AI Insights require Pro. See the App Store listing for current pricing. - Privacy: Sales, revenue, subscription and review data stay on the device. Credentials stored in the system Keychain (iOS or macOS). Direct connection to App Store Connect and Apple Ads — no intermediary servers. The one exception is App Rankings, which asks appdesk.dev for public App Store chart positions by app ID; no credentials or sales data are sent. - Developer: Rivolu LLC - Website: https://appdesk.dev - App Store: https://apps.apple.com/app/appdesk/id6738212947 - Privacy Policy: https://appdesk.dev/app-privacy - Terms of Use: https://appdesk.dev/terms - App Store Connect setup guide: https://appdesk.dev/app-onboarding - Apple Ads setup guide: https://appdesk.dev/ads-onboarding ## Features ### Sales & Revenue Analytics Stacked bar charts, area charts, and pie charts for proceeds, sales, and downloads. Filter by app/SKU, geographic region, first-time vs repeat downloads. Compare with previous periods or year-over-year. Automatic multi-currency conversion with cached exchange rates. Apple Ads spend can be overlaid on the same timeline, alongside daily taps and installs. ### App Rankings (Pro) A Pro feature. Daily App Store chart positions for your apps across every storefront and category — free, paid and grossing, iPhone and iPad. Per-app trajectory charts, positions sortable by rank or region, and countries an app has stopped charting in are separated out (dropped after 30 days unranked). Browse the Top 100 in any storefront, search the App Store for any app, and star apps — including competitors — to track them. Chart data is fetched from appdesk.dev, which sweeps every storefront/platform/chart/genre combination daily. ### Apple Ads & Ad Economics (Pro) A Pro feature. Connect an Apple Ads API client to pull daily campaign spend beside App Store revenue. Metrics: ROAS (developer proceeds per dollar of spend), cost per install (spend divided by Apple-attributed installs, not total downloads), cost per tap, ad taps and installs, and spend as a share of gross customer sales. Charts show each app's spend as a multiple of its own revenue, and where the money went — spend that bought installs, spend that bought none, and spend Apple never attributed to a keyword. A per-keyword table gives cost, taps, installs and cost per install, with Apple's ~90-day keyword data window noted in the UI. Attribution limits are stated in-app rather than papered over: Apple reports installs per keyword and revenue per app, with no key joining a search term to a purchase. Per-keyword figures are therefore compared against the app's average value per download (measured over a trailing 12 months) and presented as estimates. App-level spend-versus-revenue totals are measured, not modelled. ### AI Insights (Pro) A Pro feature. An Insights button on the Charts, Subscriptions, Reviews and Rankings tabs analyzes the last 30 days and reports what changed — which markets moved, year-over-year comparisons, which app is pulling ahead, and a recommended next action per finding. Written by Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence); the analysis works offline and no data is sent anywhere. Where Apple Intelligence is unavailable, AppDesk falls back to a built-in rules-based analyzer and labels the result accordingly. ### Subscription Intelligence Dashboard for active subscribers, MRR, trial conversion rates, and churn risk. Breakdowns by product, country, device, and billing period. Billing retry and grace period monitoring. ### AI-Powered Review Management On-device AI generates contextual review responses matching your brand voice. Auto-categorize reviews into bug reports, feature requests, praise, and custom categories. Filter by rating, status, or category. Send responses directly to App Store Connect. Smart badge notifications for new reviews. Review data never leaves your device. ### Widgets Home Screen and desktop widgets for app metrics (proceeds, downloads, purchases, sales), active subscriber count, and subscription events (activations, renewals, cancellations), over a 7- or 30-day window. ### Developer Workflows Full keyboard navigation. Cached chart states for instant switching between apps, time ranges, and tabs. Incremental sync (only new data) and historical sync (full backfill). CSV export for any view. Demo mode with sample data to explore before connecting an account. ### Security & Privacy - Direct API connections to App Store Connect and Apple Ads (no intermediary servers) - API credentials for both services stored in the system Keychain (iOS or macOS) - All sales, revenue, subscription and review data stored locally on your device - AI processing runs on-device via Apple Intelligence - App Rankings looks up public chart positions from appdesk.dev using App Store app IDs only - No analytics or tracking SDKs ## Target Audience iOS and macOS app developers — indie developers, small studios, and teams — who want fast, private App Store analytics, chart rank tracking and Apple Ads reporting without relying on web-based dashboards or third-party services that require sharing business data. ## Setup 1. Generate an App Store Connect API key (Issuer ID, Key ID, Vendor ID, .p8 private key) 2. Enter credentials in AppDesk (stored in Keychain) 3. Sync — incremental for daily use, historical for full backfill 4. Optional: create an Apple Ads API client (Client ID, Team ID, Key ID, private key) to pull campaign spend. Requires an API role in Apple Ads — see the Apple Ads setup guide.
